Funding for industry collaboration

The Australian Federal and State Governments are encouraging collaboration between business and research by providing programs and grants to help small and medium businesses transform and grow through innovation.

ANFF-SA can collaborate with you to accelerate your research and development project and there are a number of programs that may be of interest to industry who wish to work with us.

These programs include advice, training, grants, mentorship and more and they may be useful in planning your R&D program:

ARC Linkage Projects Scheme

The ARC Linkage Projects Scheme promotes national, and international, collaboration and research partnerships between key stakeholders in research and innovation including higher education institutions, government, business, industry and end-users.

To facilitate successful collaboration between higher education institutions and other parts of the innovation system, Linkage Projects proposals can be submitted at any time and funding outcomes are announced within six months of proposal submission.

Find out if your organisation is eligible to apply for the Linkage Projects Scheme to support your next research and development (R&D) project.

Research and Development (R&D) Tax Incentive

The Research and development (R&D) tax incentive encourages companies to engage in R&D benefiting Australia, by providing a tax offset for eligible R&D activities. It has two core components:

  • a refundable tax offset for certain eligible entities whose aggregated turnover is less than $20 million

  • a non-refundable tax offset for all other eligible entities.

View the eligibility criteria of the R& D Tax Incentive to see if your organisation is eligible to apply for funding support.

Future Industries Accelerator - Supporting partnerships between SA industry and UniSA

The Future Industries Accelerator (FIA) is a $7.5 million investment from the South Australian State Government, which focuses on creating high-value jobs in South Australia and assists local industries to build their R&D capacity and accelerate growth.

You don’t need to have worked with the University before to consider engaging.
