Daniel Williams

Additive Manufacturing Technologist

Daniel leads the larger-scale 3D printing activities at ANFF-SA, working within the Industry 4.0 Testlab. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer with a background in 3D printing, scale model making and plastic recycling. He also has advanced CAD and 3D modelling skills across various software platforms.

The Testlab has a suite of 3D printing technologies ranging from desktop filament, through to industrial full colour resin, fibre reinforcement, desktop metal and stereolithography machines. The lab also houses mechanical testing equipment for material characterisation and 3D scanners for creating digital models of physical objects. Daniel manages and maintains all of the Testlab machines, running training sessions and presentations to users on the various machines.

He is currently growing the Testlabs' capabilities with plastic recycling machinery, capable of recycling waste 3D print material and other plastics into new filament. Along with learning more about powder bed fusion 3D printers through an industrial partner.
