Fiona has a background in lighting control and automation R&D with a global energy management company where she worked with commercial, quality and compliance teams to develop devices incorporating sensing, embedded systems, control and power electronics for the Australian and international markets.

She currently supports engineering teaching and research through activities including technical advice, experiment design and prototype manufacture. Fiona also works with varied customers across the college - from hands on student support to managing lab equipment for teaching academics, and design and build of equipment for researchers.

She enjoys being part of a collaborative team tackling varied technical challenges and embracing new tools, skills and methods to do it.
