Mohamed received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Adelaide University, specialising in the development of nanoscale field-effect transistors for biosignal monitoring.

Prior to that, he obtained his Master's degree in Biomaterial Engineering from Chonbuk National University (South Korea) in 2019. His current research interests lie in translating solid-state nanosensor technology for biosignal monitoring and point-of-care testing of heart failure and traumatic brain injury.
